Overtime?

Well, the end of our Florida Sporting Events campaign has arrived and our four-day push for local sports events and venues is rounding the final turn and headed for the checkered flag. It’s been a great ride during our four-game series however just because this concludes this portion of our campaign, the blog posts and the Florida sport’s information will continue to flow throughout our blog site and social media platforms.

Please join us tonight at the Buffalo Wild Wings on International Drive, as we present our final results from the campaign and discuss future ideas on how to increase your experience as fans of sports around central Florida. There will be appetizer vouchers given and special sports trivia with prizes throughout the celebration. Prizes will include tickets to opening day for the Rays in Tampa, center ice tickets to the Solar Bears, and passes to the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

We will also be accepting applications for future positions and will be discussing plans to expand outside the central Florida area. There is much more around the state for our fans to learn and we’ll need more bloggers to accomplish this goal. This is a celebration for our fans and followers as we look to take Cammo Corporation in a direction that will meet your needs as sports fans. Your input and feedback is appreciated and valued in our efforts to extend our fan engagement segments.

We look forward to seeing everyone out tonight! Again, the Buffalo Wild Wings is located on International Drive close to Sand Lake.  Thank you so much for your support during our campaign and as always, have a great and fun-filled sports weekend!

February is almost over…

Which means it’s time for college basketball to take center stage. Although spring training is gearing up around the state, let’s not forget that across the country college basketball fans everywhere (including in Florida) are preparing and studying the teams they think have the best chances to help them win their March Madness bracket pools and challenges. As a huge fan of college basketball and March Madness, it’s tough not to look forward to the big dance next month. However, it’s important to realize the regular season isn’t over yet and that the teams looking to jump off that bubble and into the bracket pool still have many chances to prove their worth for the NCAA Selection Committee.

After the regular season and before the NCAA Tournament starts, each division one conference plays their own tournament for multiple purposes. The first is that the winner of each conference tournament (no matter what the teams record is) receives and automatic berth to participate and compete in March Madness.  The other reason is fairly obvious; pride and bragging rights.

Now you might be wondering what does this have to do with central Florida? I will tell you audience! Remember those conference tournaments mentioned above? Well, one of those conferences happens to be the American Athletic Conference and the AAC will be playing its conference tournament at the Amway Center in Orlando. You really think I’d leave you hanging like that?

This tournament is especially important around the area as the main host of the event is the University of Central Florida. Currently, the Knights would not make the tournament as they have a sub-500 record. But if college basketball has taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected around this time of year and over the course of the next month. Other teams that will be playing at the home of the Orlando Magic are perennial fixtures, UConn, Cincinnati, and Memphis along with current conference record leader, Temple and more. Preseason favorite SMU will not be playing in the tournament, as they are ineligible for any postseason play this year.

Nevertheless, this year’s AAC tourney is sure to excite and entertain. The dates for the games will be held from March 10 – 13 and tickets are still available!

“Rec” it in your own Sports League

Florida is a great area in the United States to get out and become active. Being active means different things to different people. Some like to hit the running trails and work cardio, others hit the gym and bulk up on weights. Then there’s the type that like to enter in different types of team competitions such as basketball, flag-football, softball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and cheerleading. So wouldn’t it be nice if there was a an organization that helped coordinate and set-up multiple leagues, throughout multiple sports around the central Florida area? Well, it’s your luck day if you’re reading this.

The City of Orlando Athletics Division is offering the opportunity for athletes from all ages five and up (yes adult leagues included) to participate in a variety of athletic programs and leagues throughout the year. Opening Day

The United States future Presidency isn’t the only entity campaigning right now. It is our pleasure to welcome all of our readers and followers to our Florida Sporting Events campaign. This campaign will provide our fans all over the region information about sporting events around the area and on the horizon. Check out our blog posts every day at 11 a.m. during our four-day drive as we direct you; the Florida sport’s fan to the most electrifying and sports-driven atmospheres in and around the Orlando area.

For our first stop, why not head to the most magical place in Orlando? No, not Disney World; well, kind of Disney World. I’m of course referring to ESPN’s Wide World of Sports, which is a guest service of the Walt Disney World Resort. The Wide World of Sports is more known for hosting multiple major sporting events every year for young athletes across a wide spectrum of sports including football, baseball, soccer, softball, gymnastics, volleyball, tennis, track and much more. According to the website, the major sports complex offers ten world-class venues designed to give every athlete the best possible competition experience.

However the sporting wonderland offers more to visitors as well including various dining experiences that includes boxed lunches for those “on the go fans” or the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill. There are also multiple merchandise shops that include customization options for those who want to personalize their sport’s gear. For families who have athletes participating in events at the complex, there’s an option to hire a professional photographer who will be a dedicated photographer of the athlete during his or her games and matches.

This is also a great time for baseball fans to visit the Wide World of Sports, especially if you’re a fan of the Atlanta Braves. Those who have read previous blog posts will recognize some of this information but most may not know that spring training has officially begun! Well kind of, as pitchers and catchers are reporting to their respected camps throughout this week with position players to follow next week. And Champion Stadium at the Wide World of Sports will be the home for the Atlanta Braves over the next month as they prepare for the 2016 season. Atlanta isn’t that far and I would guess there are some Braves fans around the area. Those interested, can look at the Braves spring training schedule located on the Wide World of Sports website. If baseball isn’t your cup of tea, the website offers information across the wide world of sports and everything in between. Enjoy sports fans!

Vroom, Vroom!!!

It’s that time of year again! The whether is warming up around the sunshine state and this Sunday (February 21), the track at Daytona International Speedway will be on fire as the best drivers in NASCAR take to the historic track for the annual event that kicks off the 2016 NASCAR season. As far as sporting events, the Daytona 500 ranks very high on the list. It means as much to Florida as the Kentucky Derby does in the bluegrass state or the Master’s in the peach state just north. As far as stock car racing events, it is considered by most NASCAR fans across the country to be the most anticipated NASCAR race of the year and could be as infamous, if not more so than the Indianapolis 500 in terms of racing events in America.

This year, Daytona and NASCAR went all out! Even if you aren’t able to attend the race, there are still many more fan engagement experiences for anyone can enjoy. The main attraction is the Daytona 500 Experience, which is a cutting-edge, interactive motor sports attraction. At this 60,000 square-foot complex, fans can learn about the history of multiple versions of racing throughout the Daytona saga. These include stock car, go-kart, and motorcycle racing. Also included is a motion simulator that pits audiences behind the wheel and onto the track to give them a virtual feel for what it likes to travel at speeds of over 200 mph.

There are many other attractions fans are sure to enjoy, including a pre-race concert featuring the hit country music duo, Florida Georgia Line. Tickets for each event varies but all the needed links for information is listed below in the sources. Enjoy your sports week and prepare for lap one!
